WHY I DO WHAT I DO

From a young age, I always knew that I wanted to work in design. My initial passion was fashion and so I pursued this career. Once I had completed my degree program and started working in this field, the art of graphic design was introduced to me and I knew I was hooked. I was fortunate to have worked in-house with several amazing Vancouver companies which allowed my skills as junior graphic designer to flourish. After working over ten years in a highly demanding environment, I felt it was time to take a break and focus on raising my family. . . a choice that I am so grateful to have made! Fast forward a few years and that hunger for working in a creative environment started to grow inside of me once again. I now enjoy working as a freelance artist, designing a wide variety of projects for an eclectic mix of clients. Being creative is such an important part of who I am and I truly believe that we should all find ways to express our creativity every single day. For me, design is the perfect outlet. It allows me to be collaborative, to brainstorm solutions, and to see growth in myself and others.
